World Village – Musical Open University: Eszter Vörös - János Másik
In the House of Music’s new musical educational series launched in 2024, Hangvető programme director Balázs Weyer delivers lectures at the World Village – musical open university, each one on a specific topic related to global music and with one or two musicians invited to join in. On the second evening, he will be taking a look at the tango, with a focus on the bandoneon, an accordion-like instrument of German origin which only became truly familiar worldwide from Argentine tango and the works of Astor Piazzolla. The guest musicians this time will be Eszter Vörös and János Másik – with the bandoneon also naturally making an appearance.
