Mirla Riomar (BRA)
Mirla Riomar (BRA)
Mirla Riomar was born in Salvador da Bahia (Brazil), in a community marked by ancient African traditions, where she learned from a very young age to communicate through dance and percussion instruments – these are fundamental elements in the formation of her identity. She started singing at the age of 12 and joined various groups, and throughout her career, she has shared the stage with significant musicians of Afro-Brazilian music, such as Letieres Leite, Margareth Menezes, and Bloco Afro Ilê Aiyê. In 2016, she moved to Barcelona, where she co-founded and led the Ganzà band with Marcel Vallès, and later decided to start her own project.
