Biankahaidu, Villő

This programme is held in Hungarian.

The biankahaidu songs are rooted in the folk and country genres: they are mysterious, captivating, and lighthearted while tackling deep and serious themes. The first song was released in February 2024, and thereafter Bianka achieved third place at the summer Budapest Fülesbagoly Talent Show. Thanks to the encounters that took place there, the solo project soon transformed into a band. The sound of the songs is made truly special by the multi-voiced vocals, the beautiful guitar and cello harmonies, the mandolin melodies, and the cohesion of the band. At the end of last year, their first jointly recorded song, Prophecies, was released, and as participants in this year's Hangfoglaló's Starting Artists Program, they are preparing for new releases soon.

Villő explores her deepest emotions through bird motifs in her delicate, dreamy art pop music. Live performances include guitar, flute, and drums accompanying Villő's ethereal vocals, with electronic synths, basses, and atmospheric noises enhancing the otherworldly sound. Villő's lyrics inspire further reflection, and her birds invite you into a deep sleep in a fairytale world waiting to be discovered. Her latest EP was released under Zságer Balázs's label, Move Gently Records.

The event was supported by the NKA Hangfoglaló Popular Music Support Program College.
