SOLD-OUT - Decolonize Your Mind Society – album release concert

The Decolonize Your Mind Society, formed in 2018 and founded by guitarist Bálint Szabó, also known for his solo production Gosheven, has gained much attention and recognition not just in Hungary but around the world with its first album in 2020 (A Courteous Invitation To An Uninhabited Anabatic Prism). Which is no surprise, since the material, which draws inspiration from the music of non-European cultures, untempered tunings, American minimalism and psychedelic, ritualistic music, is a remarkable and unique production indeed. With their second album, due for release in 2023, the somewhat transformed band has created a similarly unique but quite different approach for a new piece – with tempered voicings derived from equal division of the octaves, odd rhythms and with intoned instrumentation instead of fixed tuning – which will be presented at the House of Music.
