Ildikó Palágyi: The Miracle Garden, Guest: Ferenc Cakó

The program is held in Hungarian.

The singer, songwriter, and music and fairytale therapist Ildikó Palágyi continues her musical journey with a unique project that features four musicians of the very highest quality: the pianist Krisztián Oláh , guitarist Bálint Gyémánt , double bassist Ádám Bögöthy and drummer Dániel Ferenc Szabó. The programme draws strongly on traditions and the time when storytelling still took place by the fire, as, through a special experience of total art, we are reminded that fairytales are for all of us, and about us all. During the reading of The Wonder Garden, a Kazakh folk tale, both composed and improvised musical excerpts weave a fabric that envelops the story.
Another texture to the artistic patchwork is provided by Ferenc Cakó, who will complete the here-and-now experience with his artistic living sand animation. Today, many people are aware that the fairytale was originally an adult genre filled with primeval knowledge. On this special evening, folk tales and music are equal, interactive companions.  The Wonder Garden show premiered at the Concert Hall of the House of Music Hungary in November 2023 as part of the Showcase Festival's Let's Play Music! event, which was conceived to introduce new ways of presenting music.
