Sound/Man #1 – Poniklo Imre (Amber Smith, Poster Boy)
Sound/Man #1 – Poniklo Imre (Amber Smith, Poster Boy)
This programme is held in Hungarian.
"Sound/Man" is a special conversational-musical show series where well-known musicians share their personal experiences and creative secrets as storytellers. It is a unique experience that creates truly special moments for passionate fans who are interested in musicians' personal stories beyond the music. The audience can experience the performance, colored with musical interludes, in a unique "stageless", intimate atmosphere, providing an intimate, direct, and one-time experience.
On the first occasion of the series, Imre Poniklo, a songwriter and performer known as the frontman of Amber Smith, among many others, will tell a story.
Imre Poniklo is best known in the country as the frontman of the Fonogram Award-winning band Amber Smith, or through their song with Yonderboi (Were You Thinking Of Me?), or his solo hits (Éj), but he has also written a pop album for actress Gabriella Hámori, and he also won a Fonogram Award in 2014 with his occasional band, The Poster Boy. Or you may have heard about him as one of the organizers and performers of the David Bowie evenings held annually at the A38. On this evening, he will select songs from his 25-year career, and will talk about their birth, complemented by Dávid Vesztergombi's cello playing, in a slightly different environment than usual.
