Barefoot Opera: Cavalleria Rusticana
Barefoot Opera: Cavalleria Rusticana
This programme is held in Hungarian.
The company of the Barefoot Opera grew out of the choir of the School of Fine and Applied Arts (Kisképző), and now includes Kisképűzlich, former Kisképűzlich and outsiders. Our original goal was to bring the genre of opera closer to the secondary school age group through unconventional singing lessons, and we have also performed our productions for the general public in many venues, including theatres and festivals. Each year we perform a different piece, and our repertoire has included works by Mozart, Purcell, Monteverdi and Gershwin. This year marks the tenth anniversary of our tenth performance of Pietro Mascagni's classic work, The Honour of the Peasant.
The programme is part of the Night of Museums at the House of Music.
An event that is free to attend with the Night of Museums wristband.
