Cafuné: A noite da saudade
This programme is held in Hungarian.
At the concerts of the Cafuné band, formed in 2022, special arrangements and original pieces are performed, with Brazilian music at their core. Vocal and instrumental songs alternate, often forming medleys, spiced with improvisations. The band’s repertoire features Brazilian music that is rarely heard even in an international context, combining vibrancy, elegance, virtuosity, freedom, melancholy, and cheerfulness. The spontaneity of the vocal culture is also striking, as on several occasions the three Pataki siblings sing together. Márton Stummer’s guitar playing, which often blends Brazilian music with modern elements, is complemented by creative contributions from the rhythm section. The ensemble has released three albums so far, but audiences can encounter a constantly renewed program at their concerts. This time their concert is titled A noite da saudade, meaning “the night of longing,” and the program will include, among others, songs by Elis Regina, Baden Powell, and Cartola.
