Cataflamingo is a Budapest-based alternative rock band whose modern sound evokes the nostalgic alternative and indie world of the ’90s. In their music, alternative rock, psychedelic moods and jazzy elements blend naturally, creating a sound that is energetic, melancholic and experimental at the same time. After two EPs, they released their first full-length album in 2023, entitled Leaning Against a Door, which was followed in November 2025 by their second album, Draw, received with unanimous enthusiasm by the Hungarian music press. They are particularly strong live: tight, energetic, and with a good sense of balance between driving momentum and more sensitive, subtle parts. At their concerts, noisy guitars reminiscent of the ’90s, dynamic shifts and an emotional yet powerful delivery work especially well.
