Family Sound Bath
Family Sound Bath
This programme is held in Hungarian.
Bálint Bársony, a musician and composer who has received the Erkel Ferenc, Artisjus, and Fonogram awards, may be familiar to many families through his "Instrument Petting" concert series, where he and his band introduce the music and instruments of different peoples. This time he is coming alone, but the goal is similar: to guide families open to it on a special, meditative sound journey with singing bowls, bells, gongs, tingshaws, and other sacred sound-producing tools. According to ancient Eastern teachings, the sounds have a harmonizing and regenerating effect on a person lying down. Even the youngest can experience this during the sound bath tailored for them. However, the program offers much more, as there will be an opportunity to try out the instruments. Furthermore, there will be a chance to purchase them. More than a hundred high-quality, hand-forged singing bowls will be available to choose from, arriving straight from the workshops of Nepalese masters, so anyone can find the singing bowl of their life. If you want to enjoy a high-quality sound bath with your children during the holidays, this is the place to be!
The program is recommended for children aged 0-3 years.
We kindly ask arriving families to bring a blanket or yoga mat to lay on the floor, on which they can comfortably enjoy the program! In addition, a limited number of seats will be provided.
Babazuri is the little brother to our popular series Ramazuri, in which little ones are at the forefront of our minds! After all, "the musical education of children begins 9 months before they are born", as Zoltán Kodály famously said. Our aim is to ensure that the whole family has fun with the little ones included, so we are running parallel sessions, one for 0–3-year-olds and the other for 3–6-year-olds. Join us every month for new speakers at our Babazuri mornings! Move, play, create, and sing along with us!
