Magyar Banda: Come on baby!
Concert
Magyar Banda: Come on baby!
The program is held in Hungarian.
The Hungarian Band was formed in 2020 from the most recognized young musicians of the Hungarian folk music movement. Their debut album was released in 2021, which immediately received significant acclaim in musician circles. However, it wasn't until 2024 that the general public really got to know them, when they released several novel music videos with unusual arrangements and appearances for folk music. Thanks to these, they quickly became popular, which is also due to their ability to showcase a side of Hungarian folk music that, alongside the respect for tradition and professional performance, is youthful, trendy, and catchy.
The members of the band have been living for music since birth, and their virtuosic instrumental skills and the relevance of our folk songs with innovative arrangements immediately draw listeners into their unique world. Their production draws heavily from the world of today's overseas pop and rock bands, eloquently proving that folk music is alive, still relevant today, and, like pop music, can be beloved and listened to by everyone. Beyond professionalism, this radiant nonchalance and coolness inspired the House of Music to ask the band to show the younger generation how Hungarian folk music can be cool. This concert is thus an attempt at that, where we promise, it will be hard to stay still!
As part of the Tuned to Children series, all bands who don't usually play for children will perform. After all, we believe that children do not have to play anything else, at most in a different way. Because honest, good music finds its way to everyone, especially to open-minded young people! So we hope that our wish will be fulfilled that the band and good music in general will be discussed not only among musicians, but also among several young people in general.
