National Cartoon Festival - Pannonia Anthology
The screening is in Hungarian.
From November 14 to 16, 2025, the House of Music will join the National Cartoon Festival, the largest domestic animated film event, which will take place at hundreds of locations across the country.
Admission to the immersive 360-degree animation screenings at Hangdóm is free, but advance registration is required due to limited capacity.
Classic Hungarian animation is evoked through three groundbreaking adaptations of short films:
Regölés (László Hegyi Füstös, 1978)
Világnak virága, virágnak világa (Dóra Keresztes, 2017)
Zöld intelmek minden napra (Sándor Reisenbüchler and his collaborators, 1992)
The films, produced by Pannónia Filmstúdió and Kecskeméti Rajzfilmstúdió, bring Hungarian folk traditions, beliefs, and the relationship between humans and nature to life.
The unique technology of the sound dome not only allows you to see, but also to experience the world of these works. Word images flash across the projected sky as morph animations, while the viewer is enveloped by a whirlwind of music.
It is a spiritual experience, a visual journey, and an environmentally conscious thought-provoking experience all at once.
The film was made possible with the support of the National Film Institute and the House of Music Hungary.
Warning regarding the risk of photosensitive seizures: A small percentage of people may experience seizures in response to certain visual images, including the flashing lights and patterns that appear as part of the program.
Duration: 20 minutes
Age recommendation: We recommend viewing the screening for ages 8 and up.
