Táncház (Dance House): Tempó
This year, from May to September, the free Outdoor Dance House in the Open Air continues at the House of Music Hungary’s Open-Air Stage, and on the second occasion the Tempó band will be providing the music. The Tempó band was formed in 2022 in Budapest with the aim of conveying as authentically and in as original a form as possible the string folk music of the Carpathian Basin’s authentic Hungarian traditions and of the ethnic groups living together with us. The ensemble was brought to life by the old village chamber music and its love of serving dance, as heard on recordings and during collecting trips.
The dances are taught by Kincső Szabó and István Berecz.
