Táncház (Dance House): Tempó
This year as well, from May to September, the free Dance House in the Open Air continues on the Open-Air Stage of the House of Music Hungary, this time with music by the Tempó Band. The Tempó Band was formed in 2022 in Budapest with the aim of conveying as authentically and in as original a form as possible the string folk music of authentic Hungarian traditions in the Carpathian Basin and of the ethnic groups living together with us. The ensemble was brought to life by the old village chamber music-making and its love of serving dance, as heard on recordings and during collecting trips.
The dances are taught by Kincső Szabó and István Berecz.
