Táncház (Dance House): Zoltán Samu & His Band
This year, the free MZH Dance House will continue on the House of Music's open-air stage from May to September, with Zoltán Samu and his band playing for the first time. Zoltán Samu (prima violinist, folk music teacher) has been studying Hungarian folk music for more than 20 years and teaching it for almost a decade. He is assisted in his artistic expression by his band, whose members are outstanding musicians and singers of their age. In the last few years, the band has represented Hungary at numerous festivals abroad, promoting Hungarian folk music. They are permanent participants in several folk dance ensembles, cultural institutions and folklore festivals in Hungary and abroad. After a long period of research and collecting, the orchestra recorded an album of songs from Isaszeg in 2019 and Kistarcsa in 2020.
