VreMea Valkánia - Balkan me-time

VreMea Válkània’s enchanting sound is provided by the two female vocalists, complemented by the unique interplay of the accordion and cimbalom. Through smoky, decadent and melancholic melodies, their shared Balkan-based musicality seeks to temper 'Eastern' exuberance with a hint of a 'Western' atmosphere.

The group’s members – singers Veronika Varga and Ilka Kisgyörgy, accordion player Benedek Réti and cimbalom player Ion Curteanu come from diverse musical backgrounds, ranging from folk music to jazz and classical music. This ensures their collaboration features not only variety but also inexhaustible sources of inspiration.
