Gergely Kovács: Nature-Sonatas
The multiple prize-winning pianist Gergely Kovács is one of the outstanding personalities of the new generation of pianists, someone whose repertoire is rich in chamber music pieces, as well as the solo piano cannon of the 20th century. Regardless of period or style, he believes it is important to show the constant ebb and flow of music, reflecting the peaks and troughs of life, from the greatest depths to the most exhilarating heights.
On this occasion, the pianist will talk about two of Beethoven's piano sonatas inspired by nature and follow that with a discussion with the pianist and educator Gábor Eckhardt.
The concerts of our Tuned to Piano program series can easily captivate those who are still far from the world of romantic piano literature, while they also hold new experiences for those who come to the House of Music Hungary as black-belt classical music fans.
