Fairy Tales by Dvořák & Janáček
This programme is held in Hungarian.
The joy of storytelling is one of humanity's most ancient spiritual experiences. The timeless message of fairy tales weaves through the chamber music evening of Róza Radnóti (piano), Oszkár Varga (violin) and Flóra Matuska (cello), featuring works by Antonín Dvořák and Leoš Janáček, almost all of which were inspired by fairy tales or stories. The sophisticated, passionate music and the accompanying fairy tales and stories are brought to life with animated children's drawings, thanks to the collaboration between the Igazgyöngy Foundation and the Moholy Nagy University of Art and Design, under the artistic direction of Róza Radnóti. The three musicians performing at the concert are old creative partners who began performing together as students at the Academy of Music as members of the Chamber Circle founded by Róza, and their unbroken friendship has been strengthened by their bond as chamber music partners. They are artists who are open to experimentation, innovation and spontaneity, and it is this attitude, among other things, that makes their playing exciting and lively.
