Bence Sarkadi: The Budapest Marionettes

The Globe-trotting Marionettes is a multiple award-winning solo production that has traveled the world from Egypt to Australia, India to South Korea, Colombia to Canada. Bence Sarkadi, Hungary's only internationally renowned marionette master, has mesmerized adult and child audiences at the biggest street festivals and smallest street corners on six continents with his self-made, carved marionettes. He is the first and only Hungarian puppeteer to have been featured in the competition program of the world's most prestigious puppet theater meeting, the International Puppet Festival of Charleville, with two performances, and the following year he was able to take the stage as the festival's guest of honor.
