Bach Sonatas for Viola da Gamba and Harpsichord Performed by István Varga (cello) and Balázs Fülei (piano)
This programme is held in Hungarian.
In the joint Hungaroton album release series by the House of Music and Hungaroton, we will hear the album J. S. BACH: Sonatas for Viola da Gamba by the duo of Fülei Balázs (piano) and Varga István (cello) live for the first time, just days before its release on May 23. Johann Sebastian Bach's three sonatas for viola da gamba and harpsichord are the music of purity, harmony, and unity. The diverse and inventive composition of the pieces presents the highest level of musical challenges for both players. On the album recording and in the concert, of course, the works are performed on two modern 'successor instruments', the cello and piano.
After the album launch, it will be possible to buy the new CD on the spot and have it signed by Balázs Fülei and István Varga.
