Imre Fia Imre
Imre Fia Imre
This programme is held in Hungarian.
Imre Fia Imre combines Hungarian alternative music traditions with elements of metal and hip hop. The one-man bedroom project of György Imre (vocals, guitar) became a band in 2018 with the addition of Baráth Gergely (drums), Gyurkovics Ernő (bass guitar), Tornai Zsolt (synthesizer, sampling), and Hagymási Bence (guitar, vocals). This lineup forms the core of the group, which over the years has evolved into a true interdisciplinary collective with numerous collaborators on stage and frequent artistic collaborations in the band's visual presentation. In 2022, they wrote a soundtrack for the Hungarian feature film A Karantén Zóna released on HBO, and in 2024 they released their first "band" album titled Karszalag a Mennyországba. At the beginning of 2025, they will release a remix album (Nyár negatív), which further expands their musical world towards dark techno and drum and bass, and with producer Weil András at the helm, they will begin recording their latest album.
