Rézeleje Fanfárosok

This programme will be held in Hungarian.

The Rézeleje Fanfárosok is a band formed in 2020 that primarily plays Moldavian and Balkan folk music. Using modern instruments, they evoke the mood in which folk melodies live on today with the crispy sound of a brass band. During festivals, weddings, and dance houses, they have proven in their short existence that they can get any audience dancing. Their repertoire is based on traditional collections, folk music-based modern tunes, as well as their own compositions, presented with unique arrangements and sound. Their debut EP, titled Beköszönő, released in 2024, showcases where the band started and where they are heading, highlighting the synergistic forces that make the seven musicians known as "Rézeleje" today. The songs on the album are born from the Csángó-Hungarian culture, the Romanian muzica populară flourishing in the same space, and the world of Balkan folk music. The band's distinctiveness comes from the different, complementary tastes, creative energy from various musical backgrounds of the members, and a unique instrument ensemble that is unparalleled in Hungary. Rézeleje can be recommended to fans of traditional and global music, as well as jazz lovers, suitable for both partying and deep listening.
