Gojma Dancehouse
Directly after the finals of the dance competition titled 2nd Gojma Award – Solo Dance Competition in memory of Antal Kovács Gojma, on July 2 from 22:30, the Gojma Dance House will start on the Open-Air Stage! At the free Gypsy music dance house, the Baxtale band will play and last year’s, 2025’s 1st Gojma Award winner, Zoltán Makula, will teach the dances. A rollicking, liberating atmosphere is guaranteed!
Baxtale is a band with a dynamic, distinctive sound world that confidently combines both modern and traditional musical elements. In their repertoire, besides Gypsy melodies from the Upper Tisza region, songs from Transylvania also take center stage, which they perform in a fresh, personal style. The harmony between the members of the band can be felt not only on stage, but also in the structure of their songs: every instrument and voice tells a shared story. The band is committed to preserving and presenting traditional Gypsy culture at a high standard, and they often collaborate with dance ensembles. Baxtale’s performances are characterized by an intimate atmosphere, energetic presence, and active interaction with the audience. Their goal is to provide an experience with their music—one that entertains, moves, and remains memorable at the same time.
An event jointly organized by the Czinka Panna World Music and Dance Arts Association and the House of Music, supported by the State Secretariat Responsible for Social Opportunities and Roma Relations of the Ministry of the Interior.
