Artificial intelligence has been with us for almost four decades now, but in the last 1.5-2 years the process has accelerated almost beyond comprehension. We're just left scratching our heads, wondering who to believe. It’s to be expected that art and artists will also be affected by this brave new digital world. So let's take a deep breath, fasten our seatbelts and for the next 20 minutes or so, let artificial intelligence reinterpret the art of the last 2000 years.
Imagine robots building ancient Greek temples, Roman statues dancing, and Byzantine mosaics with Star Wars characters fighting instead of martyrs, Botticelli's Venus being born from an ice cream bowl, and gravity disappearing at Bosch's altar. Everything has changed. This video montage is entertaining, but in a way that everyone can understand, it also shows what artificial intelligence can be used for, if we have the courage not to run away from it.
