DOME_LIVE 031 Tibor Szemző: Kafka Islands
Franz Kafka not only earned the admiration of posterity through his writing. The effect he had on those truly close to him, those who experienced being with him as the miracle of friendship, was quite unique. The hidden connections between these miracles are revealed in the magic sphere of the Sound Dome during the Kafka Islands performance. With the help of Szemző’s original 8mm films and music, it is also unveiled how the islands are connected to Franz Kafka’s last friend and last love.
Kafka’s parable, An Imperial Message, evokes his radiant personality from their perspectives and through the music of languages.
This programme is held in Hungarian.
In the underground levels of the House of Music Hungary lies the Sound Dome. This is where the program begins, with a short film providing an unusual acoustic and visual experience, after which the visitors are shown an increasing number of similar films.
