We invite our viewers to a series in which music is married with different branches of art, in pairs, equally, as indicated by the title of the series IN PARI. In the first season, music and text (IN PARI – Words and Music, 25 October) and music and photography (IN PARI – Diaporama, 15 November) will cheer each other up. The musicians are preparing for improvisation, and the poets, writers and photographers do the same in their own way: they do not recite their texts or project their images under the influence of the flow of music, to which the musicians have to react again. In this way, the dramaturgy of the performance is shaped by the back-and-forth effect. They are able to create many and complicated relationships in this way. Text and music unite, they get into discord, they make friends, they are hostile, they join forces, and then they compete, just like in Samuel Beckett's radio play Words and Music, in which all this happens for the amusement of the audience. In the same way, images and music sometimes sound separately, sometimes together, but always built from each other.
