The Guiding Voice – An Evening with Georgi Sztojanov

This program will be held in Hungarian.

What happens to us if we lose the way, if we can't find the voice that could lead us? Does that inner voice even exist, which, although barely audible amidst the surrounding noise, can still guide us intuitively in our lives? How can we find this voice and make it our inner advisor? The human voice, in whatever form it appears in music (or even outside of it), can immediately capture our attention and create a deep connection between thoughts and feelings. Its diversity and possibilities make it one of the richest instruments.

Georgi Sztojanov's musical interest is also centered around the singing voice, and he himself sings in multiple voices, as a tenor, countertenor, and baritone. Drawing from Bulgarian folk traditions and the rich Hungarian choral culture, and with diplomas in composition and singing, he seeks new and ever-relevant possibilities for musical expression. At his authorial evening, he invites the audience on an intimate journey with his diversely talented fellow artists through the realms of music and life, drawing a great arc through themes such as birth, love, death, illness, hope, faith, relationships, and happiness. Personal stories and his creative processes shape the concert into a unity, during which Georgi Sztojanov, as a bilingual narrator and master of ceremonies of the musical and emotional cavalcade, accompanies us throughout.

The concert is organized with the collaboration of the Embassy of Spain in Hungary.
