The Bach for Everyone Festival is the largest-scale classical music series in the Carpathian Basin. The mission of the festival is to bring the soul-lifting music of the prince of composers, Johann Sebastian Bach, to as many people as possible and in the most diverse ways, which is why every event is free to attend! At the current concert the audience can listen to tuba artist László Zalán Kovács, the director of the festival, and his renowned fellow artists. This is especially special because the musical treasures of the great master can be discovered on an instrument that did not even exist in Bach’s time. The unique sound and character of the concert are further enhanced by the diversity of the invited artists’ instruments, since alongside the piano and tuba, the flute, citera, harp, and even the accordion also play important roles. The concert combines classical music, folk music elements, and contemporary approaches as well. The evening features works composed using Bach’s melodies, in which the spirit of the prince of composers lives on in renewed form. Between the program items, the audience can take part in a journey through time, during which stories are told about lesser-known details of Johann Sebastian Bach’s life.
