This programme is held in Hungarian.

Formed in 2004, Irie Maffia has slowly become a defining musical experience for multiple generations, whether it’s about festivals, underground jams, or house parties. The collective is a key and unavoidable institution of Hungarian pop music; their sound draws richly from classic dancehall, dub, reggae, afro, pop, rock, and who knows how many other cultures. Their records are fresh, up-to-date productions even on an international level, and live they plough up the stage as a tireless energy bomb time after time. Where do they draw their inspiration from, what keeps them moving, and how do they create together as a community made up of such diverse personalities? At the April event of the Attention, Recording series, you can follow their creative work up close, and even take part in it yourself!

The Attention, Recording! series offers a live music experience in a groundbreaking, new approach for those interested in musical creativity. On the one hand, it gives insight into the behind-the-scenes world of bands; on the other, it is a unique, unrepeatable one-off event where never-before-heard music is created in a matter of moments before the audience’s eyes – and with their participation.
