In the House of Hungarian Music’s Lunchtime series, we can enjoy short concerts by young talents at lunchtime, and the 35-minute mini-concerts still leave enough time for a meal. At this May’s event in the series, talented folk musicians from the Vác Conservatory will be performing.
This is how the institution introduces itself: “In Vác we not only teach Hungarian folk music, we keep it alive. With us, the pure source becomes a level of performing art that speaks to people today and proudly represents our national culture. Our creed is to preserve authentic values and interpret them in a contemporary spirit – this is the professional environment in which, since 2002, we have been training the finest artists in the genre under the guidance of our internationally renowned teachers.
At today’s concert we get a taste of this workshop: on stage is the next generation of folk musicians, who carry our heritage forward with humility and fresh energy.”
The Trilla restaurant of the House of Music awaits its guests with a special two-course menu prepared only for this event. In the restaurant next to the Auditorium, which hosts the Lunchtime concerts, guests can choose between meat and vegetarian menus.
