Szélműves

This programme is held in Hungarian.

Szélműves is one of the most exciting Hungarian representatives of the brassy Balkan vibe. The core of their music is Moldavian Csángó folk, spiced with Southeast European Romanian, Gypsy, and Jewish melodies, along with their own ideas. Life-affirming tight rhythms, crisp tuba accompaniment and sweeping brass lines form a rolling cavalcade, dressed up with accordion and kobza, and crowned with multi-part female vocals. An ancient relevance: a modern sound that respects musical roots and that works both on the dance floor and in your ears, regardless of age.
