Stage Call! - Keptár Zenekar
This programme is held in Hungarian.
As part of the Fringe program, launched in 2024 in support of the mission of the House of Music – with a call announced in three categories – we provide performance opportunities at various locations in the House for emerging musicians and hobby bands at the beginning of their careers, as well as street musicians, music schools, and music workshops. In the Take the Stage! series, talented, up-and-coming musicians and hobby formations (bands, vocal ensembles, mixed formations, etc.) at the start of their careers perform, who have so far had very few opportunities to present themselves to a wider audience. This time, Keptár Zenekar will give a concert on the Outdoor Stage.
Keptár Zenekar is a Moldavian folk music band from Pécs, formed in 2019, in which four good friends play music together. They primarily perform Moldavian folk music at Moldavian dance houses in Pécs and across Transdanubia. Their repertoire also includes choreographed pieces and musical adaptations of poems, all characterized by Moldavian folk music foundations and Moldavian-style instrumentation. The band’s goal is to popularize Moldavian culture, traditions, folk music, and folk dance alike throughout the Carpathian Basin!
Dear Visitor, We kindly inform you that during the event, photographs, audio recordings, and/or video recordings may be taken. By attending the event, you consent to the recording of such materials through your implied conduct.
Covered Open-air Stage concerts
The program will be held even in rainy weather, as the Open-air Stage is largely covered.
In support of the House of Music's mission, we have launched the Fringe programme - a call for applications in three categories - for music schools and their students, hobby musicians and street musicians to perform at various venues in the House. The Up on Stage! series features talented beginner and amateur musicians who have had little opportunity to perform on a wider stage.
