Stage Call! - Birds with Knives
This programme is held in Hungarian.
In support of the House of Music Hungary’s mission, within the Fringe program launched in 2024 – for which we issued a call in three categories – we are giving up-and-coming musicians at the beginning of their careers and hobby bands, as well as street musicians, music schools, and music creative workshops the opportunity to perform at various spots in the House. In the Take the Stage! series, talented, emerging musicians and hobby music formations (bands, vocal ensembles, mixed formations, etc.) at the start of their careers perform, who have so far had very few opportunities to introduce themselves to a wider audience. This time, Birds with Knives will be giving a concert on the Outdoor Stage.
The music of Birds with Knives is born at the meeting point of tight rhythms and floating melodies. According to the band’s self-definition, they play math rock, in which the atmospheric layers of post-rock and the raw, deep, pulsating energies of stoner rock are strongly present. Their songs are characterized by complex rhythm, dynamic shifts, and sweeping guitar themes that are both hypnotic and explosive. The sound is layered and instinctive, and its instrumental nature leaves room for the listener’s imagination. The band was formed in 2024 in Pécs.
Dear Visitor, We kindly inform you that during the event, photographs, audio recordings, and/or video recordings may be taken. By attending the event, you consent to the recording of such materials through your implied conduct.
Covered Open-air Stage concerts
The program will be held even in rainy weather, as the Open-air Stage is largely covered.
In support of the House of Music's mission, we have launched the Fringe programme - a call for applications in three categories - for music schools and their students, hobby musicians and street musicians to perform at various venues in the House. The Up on Stage! series features talented beginner and amateur musicians who have had little opportunity to perform on a wider stage.
