On 13 and 14 June 2026, the House of Music Hungary in Budapest will host We Got the Vibes, an international street dance event where music meets dance and a vibrant community in the heart of City Park. On Saturday, 13 June from 10:00 in the Auditorium, French dancer Sophie May will hold a hip hop workshop.
On Saturday, authentic break, hip hop and house battles will fill the most beautiful spaces of the building with pulsating energy – accompanied by four DJs and a live band. Dancers, judges and musicians arriving from different parts of the world will bring together the energy that is the true essence of street dance culture.
In addition to the battles, we are also welcoming participants to workshops held by international judges and guests on Saturday morning and during the day on Sunday. The dance classes will be of varying levels: there will be beginner, intermediate and open-level workshops as well!
Sophie May
She represents the island of Martinique, France and LDDLM. A multidisciplinary artist who draws inspiration from many different artistic fields. Her journey started with hip hop, but she soon fell in love with house and ballroom culture, which have since become defining parts of her artistic self‑expression. By combining her unique knowledge and skills, she creates something truly special — Sophie May’s sensitivity and uniqueness are reflected in all her work. In her open‑level freestyle hip hop workshop on Saturday morning, she will give an insight into what lies behind all this.

It is important to note that you need separate tickets to participate in the battles and in the different workshops! Places are limited.

The unique atmosphere of the House of Music Hungary and the raw, pulsating subculture of street dance have never met in this form before. This event is not only a competition, but also a meeting point, a communal experience and a cultural celebration – we are looking forward to seeing you on 13 and 14 June if you want to be part of it!
We Got the Vibes is organized jointly by the Vibes and Stuff dance school and the House of Music Hungary.
The workshops will be held in English.
