Become a member of a light music choir for an evening and experience the liberating power of multi-part singing!
LokálVokál launched in 2022 as a unique community choir experience. No prior musical training or preparation is required to take part – just bring the voice you usually sing with in the shower!
At the end of the fun learning process, a popular song will be performed in three parts by a choir formed from the participants. On stage, singer and choir leader Eszter Jakobicz will, with effortless professionalism, transform participants with different levels of singing ability into a legendary choir in a single evening!

What happens if within the walls of the concert hall we not only listen to the music, but we ourselves make it sound?
LokálVokál offers a community musical experience in a form that is unique in Hungary: a light music evening accompanied by a live band, where the audience is not a passive recipient but an active participant in the concert. The band plays on stage, while the participants sit in the auditorium, singing together and shaping the musical arc of the evening.
This time, one of pop history’s iconic, emotion-filled songs will be in the spotlight:
Kylie Minogue – Especially For You.
Over the course of the nearly two-hour evening, the participants – without any prior musical training – learn the song step by step, split into three parts, and at the end of the concert they perform it as a several-hundred-strong choir accompanied by a live band.
At the beginning of the evening, a playful, band-style vocal warm-up helps everyone get in the mood, using excerpts from well-known Kylie Minogue songs. The focus is not on performance, but on the liberating experience of making music together.
The group singing is led throughout by Eszter Jakobicz, the host of LokálVokál, who in a relaxed and informal way helps everyone find their place in the shared sound.
This is not a rehearsal, not a performance, and not karaoke – it is a one-off, unrepeatable shared musical moment in which the concert truly “belongs to you”.
The two-hour show accompanied by a band offers an opportunity for anyone who loves singing to do so in a community format, yet informally. A new three-part arrangement is prepared for every event, and the chosen piece of music is a surprise for the participants, since at LokálVokál the song itself is not what matters, but the experience of singing together accompanied by a band.
