Salsa in the Park

The highly successful dance program Salsa in the Park will once again entertain fans of Latin music this summer and early autumn 2026 on the Open-Air Stage of the House of Music. At the free 2026 events, alongside the Budapest-based band Son tres, Dj José “El tren de Cuba”’s Latin sets and dance teaching by Bea Kiss will enrich the program. The DJ sets and live band segments will alternate. Son tres has toured all over Europe; among the band members are artists with Venezuelan, Cuban, and Colombian roots, who bring passionate and vibrant Latin rhythms to the audience. The members of Son tres guarantee a fantastic atmosphere at every party as they play bachata, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, and other Latin styles – with salsa of course in the spotlight this time!

Guillermo Macsotay, singer and bandleader, was born in Venezuela to a Hungarian father and Venezuelan mother. He pursued his musical studies in Venezuela at the ArsNova school, as well as in the United States and Hungary, achieving success with various salsa and fusion bands. He is one of the best Hungarian fusion pianists, having graduated from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest; he took his first steps in the band of Aladár Pege, in which he played as a professional pianist for more than 15 years. Today he is not only specialized in Latin music, but also has two solo albums. Angel Miguel León Cruz, a Cuban percussionist with a long career, originally began his professional life in the world-renowned, Austria-based Havana Son Club, with which he traveled the world representing Cuban culture. Aldober Acevedo, a Colombian bass guitarist, composer and musician, has had a long career in bands such as Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz, as well as Grupo Niche. At the end of the 1990s he moved to Asia, where he played in Thailand, China and the Southeast Asian region; he currently lives in Budapest. The trio will be joined at this performance by pianist Zsolt Koloncsák.
