The MOZAIK Association, which helps people living with autism, organizes benefit concerts under the title MOZAIK Association Blues for Blue; at the upcoming event at the House of Music many of the most significant musicians from the domestic blues music scene will take part - Little G. Weevil, Ferenczi György És az 1-ső Pesti Rackák, Pribojszki Mátyás, Szabó Tamás, Blues Rádió Budapest, Captain Brothers, Horváth Misi, Nemes Zoltán, Váray László, Z.Kiss Zalán - and the evening's proceeds will support the Association's operations.
What is the Mozaik Association?
The MOZAIK Association was founded in 2011 by parents raising children with autism. Their main goal is to support the families of children who have been newly diagnosed with autism.
"Our founding members share that we all received a great deal of help from the professionals of the Budapest Early Development Center in working with our child, and we had the opportunity to participate in the EarlyBird parent training organized by them. During the three-month course we received a lot of useful information and experienced that the training greatly helps in understanding autism, in solving everyday problems, and provides the parents who meet there the opportunity to create a mutually supportive community.
We continue to set as our main goal the support and training of families raising children with autism. In addition, addressing the wider community and raising awareness is playing an increasingly important role in the Association's activities. To this end we hold unconventional homeroom lessons and lectures, and we have launched a podcast which, in addition to the families concerned, also seeks to reach the broader public.
Among our members there are several mentor-parents who, as members of the Autimentor network, have been providing assistance to fellow parents who turn to them since 2010. We are a member organization of the National Association of Autistic People, which coordinates the Autimentor network."
About the Blues for Blue concert, Sándor Kapitány, a parent of an autistic child and the husband of Imola Kapitány, president of the Mozaik Association, says:
"As a musician and Imola's husband I thought about how I could help the work of the Mozaik Association, and I decided to organize a charity concert for the benefit of the association.
I asked my musician friends to help with this and to my surprise they were happy to take it on. That was already 10 years ago, and in 2026 we are managing to put together the 8th Blues for Blue. A wonderful community has formed of musicians who come with joy; every occasion produces unique and unrepeatable performances from their joyful playing.
Over the years several songs have been written on the theme of autism, since among the musicians playing here there are those who also raise autistic children; we perform some of these as part of the evening's program.
Until now Blues for Blue has been held at a different venue each year; in 2026 the House of Music will host the event.
