DOME_REPLAY Klári Katona: Closeness
Szervezés:
This programme is held in Hungarian.
Klári Katona’s *Closeness* production is a true interdisciplinary work of art.
The musical collaborators on her writings, embedded in music and performed by Katona herself, are László Gőz, Kornél Fekete-Kovács, and Emil Gherasim. The visual world is based on the ideas of Gábor Goda and his visual co-creators, Gáspár Hajdu and Mihály Lukács. In the Sound Dome’s extraordinary space, the unity created by the artists transports us, through three-dimensional perception, into a world unlike any we have experienced elsewhere. At this DOME_REPLAY event, we will not only see and hear *Closeness*, the interdisciplinary work of art, but Klári Katona will also be present—in other words, we can experience the work in genuine, personal creative proximity. After the screening, the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk with Klári Katona.
The sensitive writings of Klári Katona form the basis of the collaborative work behind this interdisciplinary creation. Through her own interpretation, her literary world opens up to us even further. Created for the Sound Dome, the work takes us across genres on a journey to discover true closeness. The thoughts expressed in *I Live*, *Differently*, *Sentence*, *Love*, *Blessed Be the Man*, *Togetherness*, *Question*, *The Attractions of Our Repulsions*, *Embrace*, and *I Know*—their intimate, direct message, the emotional pulse and silences of the music, and the emphasis each lends to the others in the minimalist, refined visual world—come together to form something entirely new.
Together with her collaborators, Klári Katona invites us to notice the livability of life, our feelings, the relationship between men and women, the importance of attending to one another, and the true richness of our world.
This is not a lesson, but a process of experience. Those who enter the Sound Dome can become part of it through their presence, attention, and perception as they step into the inner space created by the artists.
“What draws close to us day after day may be what carries us the greatest distances apart. It is as if we fear that we will lose ourselves in coming close. But true closeness is different.
It is desired and welcoming.
It is a state of trust that offers richness through experience,” she says.
The work, shaped from three elements into a whole, is created in this spirit.
The creative collaborators and catalysts:
Klári Katona – writer and performer
László Gőz, Kornél Fekete-Kovács, Fluidian (Emil Gherasim) – leading and insightful interpreters of jazz, classical,
contemporary, and electronic music
Gábor Goda – director, who, together with his visual artist collaborators Gáspár Hajdu and Mihály Lukács, created the visual world of *Closeness*, harmonizing it with the work’s ideas and music.
