Exhibition featuring the works of Dóra Keresztes and Sándor Reisenbüchler
The exhibition is linked to the dome film Pannonia Anthology, which premiered at Hangdóm on October 1. The exhibition guides visitors through the layers of animation with spectacular installations, with a special focus on temporal, spatial, and graphic construction. The exhibition unfolds as visitors descend the circular staircase, filling the underground lobby of the House of Music. Dóra Keresztes' delicate watercolors, created for her film Flower of the World, World of Flowers, illustrate the interlocking movements of the scenes, while the birds that appear repeatedly in the film are suspended in the lobby, illustrating three-dimensional movements in space. On the 90th anniversary of Sándor Reisenbüchler's birth, we present nearly three hundred unique butterflies from his film Green Advice for Every Day in a spectacular series of phases. The original cells (transparent acetate sheets) created for the film are on display in the lobby showcase. Beautiful and detailed still images playfully tell us about the process of making cartoons.
Additional related program: Dóra Keresztes' solo exhibition, which can be viewed at the Art Hall from October 17.
Realized in cooperation with the National Film Institute - Film Archive and the Primanima Festival / Sándor Reisenbüchler Collection.
