Balázs Alpár: More Than Film Music

Music Edutainment Showcase, or MESH. In Hungarian, this translates to "HÁLÓ," or more specifically, a musical experiential education meeting. This is the essence of these two days, where we strive to present as many best practices as possible on how to convey music in an experiential way to the general public, especially children. However, it is also important that this is an opportunity to meet: with music and, through it, with each other. In this spirit, on Saturday we will present the best of the music education sessions running at the House, so that everyone can experience the joy of music.
About the session:
One of the winners of the 2023 Showcase, composer and sound designer Balázs Alpár. The aim of his playful, interactive music session is to help participants become more aware of film music and sound experiences, to introduce the practice of musical character development and the diverse functions of film music. The program includes a lecture, joint film scene analysis, and interactive elements where participants can experiment with their own voices, associating them with stories and images.
The program is recommended for ages 10 and up.
