The truly legendary Angolan, Bonga, will play at the House of Music this October! This musician-vocalist is the greatest star and creator of Angolan semba music, who rose to fame in the 1970s, and brought the song international renown that two decades later would propel Cesaria Evora to the top of the charts, Sodade. In addition to his music, Bonga has become a global symbol of African freedom and independence. In 2022, he celebrated a career spanning 50 years with a great new album, Kintal da Banda, and at last we are getting another chance to see him on tour in Budapest.
