Concert by tuba artist Zalán László Kovács
The Bach for Everyone Festival is the largest classical music series in the Carpathian Basin. The festival's mission is to bring the uplifting music of Johann Sebastian Bach, the prince of composers, to as wide an audience as possible in as many different ways as possible, which is why all events are free to attend! At this concert, the audience will have the opportunity to listen to tuba artist Zalán László Kovács, who is the festival director too, and his renowned fellow artists, which is special because the musical treasures of the great master can be discovered on an instrument that did not exist in Bach's time. The special sound and uniqueness of the concert is enhanced by the diversity of the instruments played by the invited artists, as the flute, Hungarian zither, harp and even the accordion play important roles alongside the piano and tuba. The concert combines classical music, folk music elements and contemporary approaches. The evening will feature works written using Bach's melodies, thus reviving the spirit of the prince of composers. Between the pieces, the audience will be taken on a journey through time, listening to stories from lesser-known details of Johann Sebastian Bach's life.
