Wild&Resty Improvisational Dance Workshop

Wild & Resty is an indoor improvisational dance workshop that invites participants into movement by refining and stirring up their body awareness. It is a space where our senses sometimes sharpen, at other times quiet down or recede into the background, and from this alternation arise intense yet sensitive states of movement danced with one another and with ourselves.

Throughout the work, we consciously open ourselves to extremes: we move between wild, impulsive, explosive qualities and a soft, holding, slowing-down presence. We do not separate these; rather, we allow them to slide into one another, to nuance each other, or perhaps even to come into conflict.

One of the workshop’s focuses is experiencing and rethinking boundaries. Where are they? What are they made of? When do they hold us, and when do they limit us? And what happens if we forget them for a moment? These questions arise not as theory, but through movement, touch, and attention.

Anyone can be Wild or Resty.

Comfortable, light clothing is recommended for participation. No prior dance experience is necessary. The dance workshop is open to all.
